Oh hai guiz

Any of you who have had the Death Cold/Flu this season:

I was running a slight fever yesterday and had more of one when I woke up today, plus a big sweat from my underarms (which made me dizzy). After sponging off and lying down, I felt better - not well (I'm pretty weak) but better. (My sinuses are down to a dull roar, and I can breathe through my nosealthough I am still coughing up hairballs occasionally. Mostly when I laugh.)

I'm hoping this is a turning point but if you have any anecdata about the course of your disease, and things that have helped, I'm all for it. I've spent most of my time since Sunday afternoon crashed out in bed, so I'm pretty well ready for this to be OVER.

Oh, you poor dear! Shall I bring you soup, or do you want to be left alone?

Thank you so much for the kind offer, but I have food and am feeling anti-social :/.

No problem. I am feeling antisocial as well, but, well, you're important. :-)

I had it early and the resulting Breathing Death Rattle and cough greatly alarmed fellow students on my driving course. My neighbour E. had it last week, with resulting pnemonia, thankfully nipped in the bud early and hard.
I have seen many customers with it.

Yeah, I know someone who had it for longer - it was kind of low-grade but still it went on for six weeks.

I have had it low-grade since about Thanksgiving but it got pretty acute last Sunday - I think my activity that weekend kicked me over the edge.

Some of the folks I know who have had it had a dry cough that lingered for a while. It was annoying for them, but they were able to motor around and engage in their usual activities.

I'm almost down to the cough and general weakness today.

Not a dry cough though :/

The cough and sinus infection and general weakness (and achey chest) have dragged out *well* past the point in which I felt like I was starting to get better.

This one is vile.
