D'oh!

I am a bear of very tiny brain these days.

abooth, over on the Ship, had pointed me towards a Beeb Advent service, and helpfully advised me of the true time difference for my zone. This was so I could get an earful of something called "the Advent Prose" (Pour down dew from above, you heavens, and let the clouds rain down the Just One - aka the Rorate Caeli) mentioned on an Advent thread on the Ship.

I for some reason read the 18:30 start time as 16:30. With the latter, I would have been at home at 8:30 am to listen. With the latter, I had my rear parked on a pew at St. Mark's (at 10:30 am).

He must have thought I was quite daft as I had said something about being off the rota at St. Mark's, so would be listening to it. (He knows our service schedule.)

Unfortunately the Beeb doesn't seem to have that one on replay. But as it happens we got it as the communion motet, so I did get to hear it. (Guerrero, for you music buffs.)

I wasn't thinking nearly that hard, Charlotte!

I've never heard the Guerrero.

Glad to hear it! (Seriously, my brain read "1630" for "1830".

Mind you, if it weren't for the special Advent music, I probably would have sloped off to early service, or visited St. Clement's for Morning Prayer.
