Cat_herder called it

Holy shit, that was a quake.

We were walking down Park Street in Alameda after dinner at Speisekammer and the ObTucker'sRun. (mmmm Tucker's Ice Cream) A plateglass window was making shaky sounds.

More tomorrow. I had two good German beers and a plate full of absolutely deeeelicious Jagerschnitzel and spaetzle so I think I might actually sleep tonight.

I wasn't at home ... but this was far enough away it wouldn't have been a problem. They are their usual selves.

Yeah, but it was a pretty mild one. We didn't even get up off the couch before it was done.

Sorry to miss you guys: I had to work late.

We'll catch you two next time. It was really really really nice outside at the biergarden. The spaetzle was weird, though. I think they baked in in Parmesan cheese. I want to write them A Letter of Protest. More butter. Less cheese.

The way I figured there was a quake was that the plate glass windows in front of the book store on Park were making noises. A woman looked at us and I said, "Its a quake." A man with his kids was sitting on a bench there and I said, "You might want to step away from that window for a bit."

Huh. Well, I had delicious mushroom gravy, so I didn't miss the butter at all.

(Although I did miss Ayse and Squeezeboy.)
