It may be goodbye

The vet, who saw her all squirmy yesterday, was shocked at the decline. This cat was flat-out not moving. If she survives the weekend, but doesn't get better, I've already Made The Decision to let her go.

If she doesn't survive, I at least took her out for one last tour of the yard (she perked her head up at that, actually; it's a beautiful day). At this point I'm now thinking I hadn't said goodbye the way I wanted to, but I think the way I'd want to is how we sent off Poor Fred, and that doesn't look to be on the cards.

I did see a hummingbird on the passiflora when I got home, which cheered me up (I always regard them as A Sign). And Maggie is being extra cute.
