Feed Me!

Hello folks,

I'd like to either know how to set up an XML feed and syndication LJs for my 2.2 Blogspot blogs, or have some wonderful person do it for me.

The blogs are:

Berkeley Farm Girl (or "Berkeley Church Girl" as I now, tongue only partly in cheek, describe it on my links)
Love and Cooking
Open Thou our Lips

For anyone who might have the Mad Skillz to do this for me, I can pay in my heart-felt gratitude and peanut butter cup cookies or some suitable object of desire.

You knitters out there in the audience may wish to take a look at Lorre's newly syndicated knitting blog.

I can come over tomorrow evening and set them up for you if the following sentence is not enough of a hint: It's an option under blog setup.

And BFG and L&C are already publishing feeds. I grab L&C, for example, at http://loveandcooking.blogspot.com/atom.xml

Try a similar URL for the others.

See? Setting it up is so easy you're already doing it!

It's true, it's true!

I found the LJ FAQ entry without much difficulty. All became clear once I read the whole thing. Turns out to be a gen-yoo-wine feature of the paid (permanent in this case) account.

Do you know of a good newsreader for Windoze that will read feeds? I'm feelin' the desire to manage my blog experience a little more consistently.

I don't know anything for Windows. There are like a hundred Windows RSS readers, so I'd say do a quick web search and look for things you like. I'm a BIG fan of the RSS reader: it really manages my browsing time, and makes it a lot easier to keep up with more stuff in less time.

I use Firefox with the Sage extension to read feeds. Works pretty well here and should do the same on Windows.

Blogspot XML
Blogspot already has an XML feed, and should be set to go automatically when the blog is set up. If you use an aggregator (like Bloglines), you can subscribe to any Blogspot blog toute suite. For instance, I'm subscribed to "Love and Cooking" and this one - although it's true that I had problems with your faith blog. Maybe that one's older, and you could just update the template? I bet that would solve it - or maybe you can change settings? I'll look into that.

So we're all .2 of OTOL, eh? And do I get the cookies?

Re: Blogspot XML
(BTW, your time is set all weird on this blog. It tells me that I just posted at 10:06 p.m., when I know the sun is shining and it is definitely a.m..

I guess I don't get the cookies, huh? I thought for some reason I was first. Here's the Bloglines website (http://www.bloglines.com/). It's very easy, and you can subscribe to any site you happen to be on, just by clicking a link with some Javascript in it.

Your pal bls (http://topmostapple.blogspot.com/), that is.

Re: Blogspot XML
And BTW how does one do links on this site? Just leave it alone and it will do automatically?

Let me test: http://topmostapple.blogspot.com.
