Coffee Achiever

I had one of those "duh" moments this week. On Monday, I was taking a friend to a doctor appointment. Since it was hot hot HOT, she had been talking of making some iced coffee when she got back. I said "Hey! I have a can of sweetened condensed milk. I could do Thai coffee!".

We got back to my place about noon, and my offer of coffee was speedily accepted. I said, "Do you want the sweetened milk in it?" "Yes, please!" Man, it was sooooo good.

I had it with my "Egg McMuffin" breakfast on Tuesday, and I actually managed to do job-hunt stuff ALL AFTERNOON. (The high-protein breakfast kept me from bouncing like Tigger around the house.) I did it again yesterday, and worked all afternoon again. So until I get something (and have to knock off the calories), "bacon and SUGAR" is going to be my morning routine. It seems to get me over the concentration hump.

In other news, the weather has cooled down, and the kittehs are sleeping with me again. Lucy also had her way with the little feather duster; there's a trail of pink feathers from the pile of laundry in the bedroom to the pile of towels by the other bedroom door. I keep expecting to find a very dead, very pink bird under the piles when I lift them up. *sporfle*
